So Guantanamo Bay is the "Gulag of our times" as per Amnesty International. The evil Americans are out to destroy the muslim world and torture anyone they can get their hands on. Muslim extremists have been using propaganda against America for years- it's one of their best weapons. Never mind that though, they must be telling the truth this time, right? How could it not be true if it makes Bush and the military look bad? Never mind the fact that interview after interview with prisoners at Guantanamo has shown that none of them have seen physical abuse towards other prisoners or abuse of the Koran, only "heard" about it.

Prisoners in Guantanamo get 2 hot meals a day and one MRE, more than I got for the majority of my deployment to Iraq. They are each provided with a rug and a Koran for prayer. There is a loudspeaker in the prison calling them to prayer at the regular five times per day. Each cell has a sink low to the floor to make it easier for prisoners to wash their feet before prayer, and each cell has a stenciled arrow pointing towards Mecca. There is even a library filled with religous books.

Perhaps if we were to give each prisoner a flat screen TV, a king size bed, a 24 hour all you can eat buffet, internet access and a whore house we might be almost a little less evil than terrorists beheading civilians in the eyes of the liberal media. Almost. Perhaps these people need to go watch the video of Nick Berg again to help put things in perspective.

Even more entertaining, the ACLU has filed a lawsuit demanding the release of more photographs for Abu Ghraib. What the hell for? We already know the fuckups that happened there, and the people responsible are being held accountable for it. Releasing more photographs is liable to cause more riots in the middle east and get more innocent people killed. Most people with a bit of common sense would wonder if the ACLU learned nothing from Newsweek. I'm starting to think that they learned quite a bit from Newsweek though, and simply want to cause more of it. They simply don't care how many people get killed or how much danger they put our troops in, as long as they can embarass the Bush administration. And liberals say conservatives are war mongers.....
The leadership of the ACLU probably would have been shooting RPG's at me while I was in Iraq if they thought they could get some political gain out of it. One has to wonder who is more dangerous to America, terrorists or the Americans who support them.
