How long have Israel and Palestine been fighting one another? Does anyone even remember anymore?
Actually, I've got an even better question. Is anyone aware that Condoleeza Rice has led Palestine and Israel to an agreement on the Gaza Strip? Probably not, since mainstream media by and large has chosen to ignore this. After all, we can't have the American public finding out that the Bush administration is actually achieving anything diplomatically.
Check CNN's website and you won't find a single headline about this. You'll have to do a search on the site to find any stories related to it. Instead the big headline on CNN is that there will be no timetalbe for withdrawing from Iraq. Well, no shit. We already know that the only people supporting a timeline are fucking douchebags who no nothing about how to fight a war.
Media has also chosen to focus on Sam Alito and his comments on abortion that he made on a job application 20 years ago, stating that abortion is not a constitutional right. This brings to mind the question: SO FUCKING WHAT?!
First of all, the man was filling out a job application, so of course is going to tell his prospective employer in the Reagan administration what they want to hear. Second, I would love for somebody to show me where in the constitution abortion is provided as a legal right. Whether you support abortion or not is beside the issue here. Nowhere in our constitution does it say a single word about abortion. Not one. Therefore, how is it possible for abortion to be a constitutional right? Anyone who can provide me with an answer to this question would have my gratitude.
