I just watched six different execution videos on consumptionjunction.com, and it has brought a question to mind. WHAT THE FUCK ARE THESE IDIOTS DOING?!?!?!?
Every one of those videos were shot in one of two different places. If these guys are executing people in the same places every time, why have they not been stopped yet?
The American units on the ground in Iraq right now are incompetent pieces of shit. When my unit was in Iraq insurgents would never dare to execute someone on the street in broad daylight. The officers in charge right now in Iraq need to learn a tactic that we in the army call Violence of Action.
This basically means that when insurgents pull some bullshit like this, you scare the fuck out of them. You don't sit on your ass waiting for intelligence reports and hope you get lucky, you raid every single house in the town where the executions happened until you find the little shits. You kick in their doors and if anyone so much as looks at you the wrong way while you're doing it you kill them. If you find a building where you know your targets are, you don't even bother with raiding it. You have the Air Force drop a 500lb bomb on that bitch and be done with it.
Extreme? Yes. Effective? Fuck yes. When Iraqi's saw the 1-8 INF on the sides of my unit's vehicles they were terrified. They knew who we were and they didn't fuck with us.
They learned very quickly that when they used their hit and run tactics we would gladly level every building in a two block radius if necessary.
When we went into Samarra for the first time, then one of the most aggressive towns in the country, attacks on American forces stopped within a week.
This was not achieved through killing every innocent person we saw as I'm sure many liberals who read this will assume, but through agressive pursuit of everyone participating in or organizing attacks. We spent countless hours raiding house after house. Many times we hit the wrong one, yes. But so what? We just move on to the next one. The Iraqi's are getting paid for any damage done to their home if they're not who we're looking for, and by their standards what we pay them for a broken door is a fortune. We found the men we wanted at all costs, and the attacks stopped.
Which leads me to believe that the commanders on the ground in Iraq right now are just pussyfooting around waiting for the insurgents to turn themselves in.
Guess what assholes? If you want to win you have to GO GET THEM!!!!
